Stop peeking.

17bucks was an amazing mod. (and yes, i've wrote this EXACT line in every single one of my rewritings of this message!) the message, originally written on the 7th of December, 2025, was a pouring-out of my heart over 17bucks being cancelled. i was so affected by the cancellation of the mod, that i decided to put aside some time and remake the mod, in the most faithful and accurate way that i could. 17bucks, when first released, was one of the greatest and most unique/adventerous mods of it's time period. it's developers, rizz residence, were known for EVEN COOLER mods like 7quid and singstar challenge, mods which were also extremely popular. it's like these guys just pump out gold in their spare time. now, i know for a fact people other than me were affected by 17bucks' cancellation, especially the devs themselves. i assume, this was a passion project for them, and that losing it was an extremely hard loss to accept. and, don't get me wrong, if my safety and personal information were in danger over a friday night funkin mod i was making, i'd cancel it too, regardless of how many people are waiting for it. rizz residence did not deserve to have this happen to them, as all they were trying to do was give content to the, albeit undeserving, public. i had followed this mod since it's first release, and was fascinated by the effort put into it, shown to me by funkkast. my excitement for this mod was only heightened when i saw the latest trailer shown in funkkast 3, leading to it becoming somewhat of a large interest and inspiration to me. the cancellation crushed me and a lot of others, leading to everybody and their grandmother going against the devs' wishes and making recreations of the mod we were explicitly told not to recreate. i will not defend myself, as i have on multiple occasions told my friends that i wasnt going to let the mod die without at least making some sort of good remake for fans of the mod, and my friends themselves, to play. my code, while it isn't the best, is improving, especially from what it was when i first began this remake in august of 2025. i will admit, regardless of it's improvement, my code STILL is not good enough to take on a project this ambitious, but i try my hardest. NONE of the amazing content in this mod was made by me. i will never take credit for another's work, which is precisely why i will not take ANY credits for ANYTHING done in this, apart from in this message. my inexperienced hands bleed passion and effort into every script i write, and while they may not be the definition of greatness, they are the best i could make them.
